Two years into the pandemic and we have yet to find our footing. The call to “get back to normal” continues, but I think “normal” no longer exists nor will it ever exist again....
Homeschooling is not for the faint of heart, but it is entirely doable. The question I get more than any other is “What about socialization?” Of all the reasons for homeschooling, I find it peculiar that the common inquiry is not about academics, but socialization....
While I could address academics yet again, this time I am addressing nutrition, specifically free breakfast and lunches served in our public schools....
While it would be very convenient to blame all our woes on education policymakers, district administrators, teachers or finances, responsibility for educating children begins and ends with us, the parents....
For parents who can substitute a day here or there, subbing would provide opportunities for them to experience reality on the inside....
Failed education services and COVID restrictions have hindered academic achievement for two years now. To continue to wait for the system to step up and do their part is gambling with one’s child’s education....
With 2 years of pandemic precedence to examine, it is a good time for parents and  families to consider education options for their children....
It appears the uncertainty and inconsistency in public education is getting to be too much for educators across Texas....
